{"id":8870,"date":"2020-11-06T11:42:32","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T10:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.enneproject.eu\/recognition-and-validation-of-competences-in-wbl\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T12:04:52","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T11:04:52","slug":"recognition-and-validation-of-competences-in-wbl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enneproject.eu\/pt-pt\/recognition-and-validation-of-competences-in-wbl\/","title":{"rendered":"Recognition and Validation of Competences in WBL"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"8870\" class=\"elementor elementor-8870 elementor-8258\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-96838b5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"96838b5\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-122f79d\" data-id=\"122f79d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a57b964 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a57b964\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To <strong>celebrate<\/strong> the formal establishment of the <strong>5 VET networks<\/strong>,<strong> ENNE\u2019s project<\/strong> partners have decided to organise an <strong>online Conference<\/strong>, during the <strong>European Vocational Skills Week<\/strong>, to foster a first meeting between their VET communities, where they could interact and work towards their common goal \u2013<strong> the Enhancement of VET quality and attractiveness<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Arts &amp; Skills<\/strong> was responsible for moderating the t<strong>hematic session<\/strong> <em>\u201cRecognition and Validation of Competences in Work Based Learning<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><p><strong>National or international WBL<\/strong> programs are <strong>targeted to bridge the gap<\/strong> between the <strong>learning environment<\/strong> and <strong>real work environment<\/strong>, and different WBL strategies provide career awareness, career exploration opportunities, career planning activities and help students attain competencies such as positive work attitudes and other employable skills.<\/p><p>The recognition and validation of competencies in WBL environments refer to the identification and appreciation of the skills and competencies that an individual acquires through a work-based learning experience. <br \/>Although, <strong>WBL experiences can have different forms<\/strong> ((<em>apprenticeship, internship, service learning, school-based enterprise, or industry projects<\/em>) they should be well planned, monitored and assessed properly to become relevant for\u00a0<\/p><p>The <strong>European Credit System for Vocational Education<\/strong> and <strong>Training<\/strong> (ECVET) is one of the most relevant EU frameworks developed to help the VET community implementing <strong>high-quality WBL programs<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>ECVET provides a framework for the\u00a0assessment, validation and recognition of learning outcomes, alongside a series of common tools and instruments able to support quality in mobility.\u00a0<\/li><li>ECVET promotes the\u00a0integration of mobility\u00a0into existing learning pathways.\u00a0<\/li><li>ECVET contributes to the\u00a0development of a common language\u00a0for use by different VET stakeholders and promotes mutual trust within the wider VET community.\u00a0<\/li><li>ECVET supports the\u00a0valorisation of key competences\u00a0(such as foreign language skills or intercultural competence) alongside those that are more technically &#8211; or vocationally &#8211; oriented.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>The implementation of ECVET was referred during the best practices presented by six of our network members, from Portugal, Italy and Germany, who shared with the audience good practices implemented by their VET organizations and related to WBL experiences.<\/p><p><strong>Ms. Sonia Barani<\/strong>, from the \u201c<em>Italienische Handelskammer f\u00fcr Deutschland<\/em>\u201d, <strong>Germany<\/strong>, presented the<strong> MeMeVET project<\/strong> (mechatronics and metallurgical VET for sectors&#8217; industries) and<strong> its outcomes<\/strong>. The project, implemented in 5 countries (DE, IT, ES, BG, SK) aimed at tackling some of the main<strong> issues impeding free mobility of workers<\/strong> and <strong>VET learners of the sector in Europe<\/strong>. One of the main issues is related to the difficulty of having one&#8217;s competencies and know-how recognized in another EU country. Another one, concerns the gap between the training and learning offer of VET institutions and the real needs of the labour market.<\/p><p><strong>Ms Joana Soares from EP Felgueiras<\/strong>, <strong>Portugal<\/strong>, shared with the participants their experience in<strong> VET-Business cooperation at local and regional level<\/strong> concerning <strong>Curriculum development<\/strong>; <strong>Matching supply and demand of technicians<\/strong>; <strong>Development of technological devices<\/strong> (e.g. Robots) for the<strong> local industry<\/strong>; <strong>Social Inclusion and Monitoring of trainees<\/strong> after the completion of the course.<\/p><p><strong>Ms. Margherita Battaglini, from ITE SCARPELLINI \u2013 Foligno, Italy<\/strong>, offered an overview of their experience with the<strong> implementation of ECVET<\/strong> not only on <strong>Transnational, but also National WBL experiences<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Ms. Alessia Montanucci, from I.O. Salvatorelli Moneta Marsciano, Italy<\/strong>, presented a<strong> mobility experience developed in Malta<\/strong> in 2019, that involved <strong>15 students<\/strong> from the <strong>3rd and the 4th year of high school<\/strong>. The internships\u00a0 were held at l<strong>ocal businesses: museums, shops, state agencies, cruises for tourists<\/strong>, etc. which she had the opportunity to accompany for the whole training period.<\/p><p>From <strong>Portugal, Mr. Edgar Costa, from Vocational School Bento Jesus Cara\u00e7a<\/strong>, shared how they adapted <strong>mandatory WBL experiences<\/strong> that should have been developed in a real working context, to a successful simulated business context due to the confinement imposed by COVID 19.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Mr Ferenc Naacke from \u201cBerufliches Schulzentrum f\u00fcr Wirtschaft in Dresden, Germany<\/strong>, presented the <strong>\u201cHealthy Lifestyle<\/strong>\u201d Project and the approach that <strong>allowed their organization to implement 70 internships abroad, in 8 different countries<\/strong>, for <strong>students<\/strong> from the <strong>Social Insurance Course<\/strong>, whose training focuses mainly on administrative work of social insurance clerks, but not on the background knowledge in advising insured people on the prevention of diseases.<\/p><p>This session showed us <strong>how diverse work-based learning strategies<\/strong> can be and how <strong>multiple approaches<\/strong> can be <strong>addressed by VET organizations<\/strong> to improve and enhance VET quality and attractiveness.<\/p><p>We hope we have brought some inspiration to our audience for further projects and cooperation among our VET Community.\u00a0<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enneproject.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ROOM-1-Recognition_validation-of-competences-in-WBL_with-voting-results.pdf\">Recognition and Validation of Competences in Work-Based Learning: Resources available<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To celebrate the formal establishment of the 5 VET networks, ENNE\u2019s project partners have decided to organise an online Conference, during the European Vocational Skills Week, to foster a first meeting between their VET communities, where they could interact and work towards their common goal \u2013 the Enhancement of VET quality and attractiveness.
